By default, the list of your friends in your Facebook account is visible to everyone. If you don’t want anyone to have access to your Friends list on your Facebook account, you can easily change the settings for it. Steps to Hide Your Friends List on Facebook
ON COMPUTER
1.) On your computer, open a web browser and sign in to your Facebook account.
2.) Once you are logged in to your Facebook account, you will be taken to the News Feed section of your Facebook account.
3.) In the News Feed page, you will need to click on your Profile Name located on the ribbon in the upper section. You will be directed to the profile page of your Facebook account.
4.) In the profile page, click on the Friends option located just below your cover photo section. You will be directed to the next page where you will see the list of your friends.
5.) Here, you will need to click on the Edit option (pen icon) located on the top-right corner of the Friends section. An “Edit privacy” option will appear below the edit icon.
6.) Next, click on the Edit privacy button, an “Edit Privacy” box will pop up on your screen.
7.) In the “Edit Privacy” box, you will see the option to hide your Friends list. Simply click on the drop-down arrow next to the option “Who can see your friends list” option. A drop-down menu will appear on your screen.
8.) From the drop-down menu, click on the Only me option. This will make your complete Friends list be visible to you only. However, others will still be able to see mutual friends.
9.) Once you are done making changes in the Edit privacy box, click on the Done button located on the lower-right corner.
10.) The Friends list of your Facebook account will be hidden.
ON MOBILE DEVICE
1.) On your mobile device, launch the Facebook app.
2.) Next, tap on the Menu bar icon, a list of options will appear on your screen.
3.) From the list of options, select Settings & Privacy and then select the Settings option.
4.) Then, under Settings section, scroll down to tap on the Privacy settings option.
5.) Under Privacy settings section, scroll down to locate “Who can see your friends list” option.
6.) Tap on the “Who can see your friend’s list” option. You will be directed to the next screen.
7.) On the next screen, tap on the “Only me” option to hide your Friends list.
NOTE: While selecting Only me option will make your complete Friends list visible to your only, however, other people will be able to see mutual friends.
8.) After hiding your Friends list, tap on the Back icon located on the top-left corner of the screen.
9.) Then again tap on the Back icon located on the top-left corner of the Privacy settings screen.
10.) Finally, tap on the Back icon located on the top-left corner of the Settings screen to get back to your Facebook account.
